About the producers

This lot comes from the Nyanja factory, part of the Baragwi Cooperative in Kirinyaga. While Baragwi coffees are renowned across Kenya, this selection stands apart. Crisp jasmine and melon notes shine through, supported by the region’s volcanic soils, high elevation, and unique microclimate. Instead of broad blends, we isolate traceable micro-lots. Careful lot isolation ensures this isn’t just another blend that highlight the terroir and defining characteristics of the coffee

Traditionally, Baragwi farmers have relied on the Nairobi Coffee Exchange, where volatile pricing can limit returns. By sourcing directly and paying premiums above auction averages, we ensure farmers are rewarded fairly, with stable, transparent payments and ongoing relationships. For the coffee consumer, this approach offers greater consistency, traceability, and a distinct flavor profile, rather than a broad representation of blended Baragwi coffees.
