About Us

Growing up in Kenya, we never fully understood the depth of our coffee’s flavor and cultural significance until we left the country.

For many Kenyans like us, tea was the drink of choice, with an occasional cup of instant coffee, not the premium, specialty coffee beans we exported. This is true for most of the 700,000+ small-holder farmers who dedicate themselves to producing Kenya’s renowned coffees, known for their bright flavors and rich complexity. What’s even more striking is that while Kenyan coffee is prized worldwide, the farmers who grow it often receive far less than they deserve.

A Youthful Vision Rooted in Legacy

Further, Kenyan coffee production has an aging problem. The average coffee farmer is well into their 50s. Yet, youth unemployment is rampant. There are several reasons for this. As young Kenyans privileged with access to the coffee industry, we’d like to be part of the change. We want to bring on more youth to the coffee value chain to build on the legacy of our elders.

Our mission is to build a trusted pipeline of traceable, farm-direct Kenyan coffee that:

  • Uplifts small-holder farmers and creates opportunities for youth across the value chain
  • Delivers bold, traceable coffee to conscious consumers with fair returns to producers
